The GRE Subject Test is meant for students who have majored in or studied the following subjects and the GRE Subject Test measures undergraduate achievement in them:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Computer Science
  • Literature in English
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Psychology

Which programs accept the GRE General Test?

Any graduate or professional school, any department or division within a school, or any fellowship granting organization may require or recommend that its applicants take the General Test, a Subject Test, or both.
